Thermal Spray is an industrial coating process that consists of a heat source and a coating material in a powder or wire form which is melted into micro particles and sprayed onto metal or sometimes plastic surfaces.
Choices of surfaces for material to be coated with are usually metals including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, bronze and sometimes plastic surfaces as well.
Coating types include tungsten carbides, stainless steels, ceramics, nickel- chrome carbides and pure metals such as aluminum, zinc and copper.
